Future forms

Hello,
Here are my examples.

1) Present simple

Examples:
-The train leaves Gorzów at 9pm tonight.

-Joanna starts work next week.

-Tomorrow is Thursday.

-The flight leaves at 8 p.m.

-Class doesn't begin at 9, it begins at 10.

2) To be going to

Examples:

-We’re going to paint our bedroom tomorrow.

-Szymon has won the lottery. He says he's going to buy a house in Skwiezyna.

-He's going to study Law at Sheffield University next year.

-Look at those clouds! It's going to rain any minute.

-Jack is going to meet Kim tomorrow afternoon.

3) Present continuous

Examples:

-Mietek is taking his CAE exam next year.

-They can’t play tennis with you tomorrow. They're working.

-We're going to the cinema on Friday.

-I am seeing my dentist on Wednesday.

-Polly is coming for dinner tomorrow.

-Are you doing anything tonight?

-We aren't going on holiday next week

4) Will/shall + infinitive

-Hold on. I'll get a pencil.

-We will see what we can do to help you.

-Maybe we'll stay in and watch television.

-Tomorrow will be hot and sunny.

-People will go to Mars in the next decade.

Future forms

Present simple:
- The bus leaves tonight at 6 PM.
- The train does not arrive at 11 AM, it arrives at 11 PM.
- When do we board the plane?
- The party starts at 8 o'clock.
- When does class begin tomorrow?
To be going to:
- I'm going to see my friend this evening
- I'm going to visit my grandparents this summer.
- I am going to ride my car tomorrow.
- Are you going to eat something this evening?
- They are going to drive all the way to Germany.
Present continuous:
- I am meeting some friends after work.
- I am not going to the party tonight.
- Is he visiting his children next weekend?
- Isn't he coming with them tonight?
- He is sleeping in the bed after dinner.
Shall/will:
- We'll give you a lift to the cinema.
- You'll be seeing John in the office tomorrow, won't you?
- Two months from now he will have finished all his exams.
- There will be heavy rain in many areas tomorrow.
- This time next week I'll be sunbathing.

My future forms

Present simple:
School ends in 50 minutes.
The train leaves tonight at 6 PM.
The bus does not arrive at 11 AM, it arrives at 11 PM.
When do we board the plane?
The party starts at 8 o'clock.

Present continuous:
I am meeting some friends after work.
I am not going to the party tonight.
Is he visiting his parents next weekend?
Isn't he coming with us tonight?
Why isn't he driving yet?

To be going to:
You are going to meet Jane tonight.
Are you going to meet Jane tonight?
You are not going to meet Jane tonight.
I am going to ride my bike tomorrow.
Are you going to drink something this evening?

Shall/Will:
Obama Will Meet With Republicans Next Week On Health Care
The news will be announced tomorrow.
I promise that I will write you every single day.
I will make dinner tonight.

- What time does the meeting begin next week?
- He has a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning.
- There's a good concert on next week.
- The train arrives at 8.00 this evening.

To be going to
- I'm going to see my friends this evening
- I'm going to visit my family this summer.
- He's going to write a book.
- It looks as though Manchester United are going to win the European cup.
- When are you going to go on holiday?

Present continuous
- I'm meeting my family at 6.00.
- We're having a party this weekend.
- I'm playing tennis with John tomorrow.
- What are you doing next week?
- The train leaving from platform one is the 2.45 to Edinburgh.

Shall/will
- The party will start at 10.00pm.
- President Barack Obama has said he will go to Copenhagen next month to secure an international deal on climate change.
- We will travel all over the world when we grow up.
- They will try to be there on time.
